Draft Analyst Tony Pauline joined Doc and Galdi to provide them with insight on Chase Young, whom many believe the Washington Football Team will draft with the #2 pick in April.

He reveals to us that people close to Ron Rivera say that “he loves the ‘predator’,” Chase Young. Pauline deems that to be true considering Ron Rivera is in fact a defensive-minded head coach. Despite having Young as the highest rated player on his draft board, Pauline shares concerns from what people around the league have been saying about the former Ohio State Buckeye.

“There are alot of people in the league that thinks he’s overrated,” Pauline states. “He’s a liability against the run. He doesn’t have a big stout frame, so there’s concern about how he’s going to be able to hold up the run at the next level. He also basically disappeared at the end of the season.”

Pauline reassures Doc and Galdi that the Washington Football Team should, without a doubt, stick with Dwayne Haskins and not consider drafting Tua Tagovailoa or Joe Burrow if they were to fall to them.

“It was a bad situation in Washington. You have got to get a left tackle in there to protect him. I think there’s no reason to give up on Dwayne Haskins. Who’s to say that Joe Burrow isn’t going to have the same struggles that Dwayne Haskins had? Joe Burrow, granted he’s a seniors, had one good year at LSU just like Dwayne Haskins had one good year at Ohio State. I think it would be foolish to give up on Dwayne Haskins at this point in time especially since I thought he was great value where they got him at in the first round.”

Outside of wide receiver, Pauline also points out that the tackle position is fairly deep, a position Washington will most likely have its eye on. He predicts that at least 5 tackles may go in the first round, and maybe even seven.

The NFL Draft is set to take place Thursday April 23, 2020.
