Washington Football Team cornerback Quinton Dunbar requested to be traded or released from the team Monday evening, per multiple reports. Doc and Galdi discuss what the Washington Football Team should do with the five-year veteran.

The timing of the whole ordeal seems rather ironic to Doc Walker and Al Galdi, being as though February 10th is the date that Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera told the media that he and his staff would gather to discuss the roster and the future of the team.

Doc and Galdi view Dunbar’s antics as a sign that he is not interested in being in Washington anymore. One reason being that he never spoke to the current administration about a possible extension. Washington Football Team ESPN insider John Keim mentions that Dunbar had been in negotiations with the previous administration about an extension but hasn’t heard back from the Washington Football Team since Rivera was hired.

Galdi admits that Dunbar has out-performed the 3-year $10.5 Million extension he signed on January 1st, 2018, but should have taken a different route if he’s truly disgruntled about his contract. He says that if Dunbar doesn’t want to be in Washington, the Washington Football Team should trade him and get some assets back for him. Based his on remarks to NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay, Dunbar wants to play for a team that will invest in him for a long time.

On another note, Doc thinks that this could be a ploy. The previous administration didn’t budge fast enough and offer an extension, so is this just a way for Dunbar to see if Rivera will give him the extension and money that he wants?
