Park Police Investigate Double Shooting On BW Parkway

(Riverdale, MD)  —  U.S. Park Police are on the scene of a double shooting along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.  The Northbound lanes of the Parkway will be shutdown for several hours between the exit for Route 410 and the beltway, after two men were shot around 2:15 this morning not too far south of the exit for I-495.  Sergeant David Schlosser with U.S. Park Police says both victims have been taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Police have reportedly issued a lookout for a white, four-door Acura, which was heading north on 295.  It’s thought that whatever disagreement spurred the shooting actually began around the Riverdale Road area and continued on the Parkway.  Again, the northbound lanes of the 295 are shut down between Riverdale Road and I-495 until further notice.
