(Washington, DC) — The average price for a gallon of a gas for the entire DC area now tops four-dollars. Triple-A Mid-Atlantic says the four-dollar-one-cent average is 31-cents higher than a month ago and a dollar-nine higher than a year ago. The region is now just nine-cents below the all-time high of four-dollars-ten-cents a gallon, set in July 2008. In the District itself, the average gallon of gas now costs four-dollars-16-cents.
