Sasha Obama

The 17-year-old will not head directly to the university in Cambridge, Massachusetts after graduating from Sidwell Friends this spring, she “will take a gap year before beginning school,” reads the statement from the East Wing. Instead, she will enroll in the fall of 2017.

It looks like in addition to being a shining light of positivity for girls all over the globe, Sasha and Malia will also be making a splash in the fashion world.

As President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama allow us to see more of their daughters, Malia and Sasha, we like what we see! Last week, we oohed and aahed over their poise and grace at the White House Canadian State Dinner. Now, social media is abuzz over a photo of Malia, 17, serving as a translator for her father.

As President Obama's last term comes to an end, we remember the heartwarming family moments that made us fall in love with the first family.

During a meeting in Milwaukee on Thursday, Obama shared that he and his family will remain in Washington for a few years so that his youngest daughter, Sasha, can complete high school.
