A series of purse-snatching incidents at local gas stations have Prince George’s County police officers urging people to be alert when filling up their tank. Four purse thefts occurred within three hours on Thursday. NBC Washington reports:
“We know that it’s a traumatic crime for a victim to have their personal items taken and a lot of times within their view, so we really feel for that victim,” Prince George’s County police Maj. George Nader said. “We want to bring closure to that case.”
Please be cautious when filling up at gas stations. Keep your purse in the car and your doors lock to prevent similar crimes happening to you. Read more on this story here.
