(Lanham, MD) — A pedestrian was killed last night while trying to walk across the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. A U.S. Park Police spokesman says it happened around 9 p.m. just south of Maryland Route 450 in the Lanham area. The unidentified male victim was apparently trying to cross the northbound lanes when he was struck. The driver did stay on the scene. Police are working to identify the victim and determine why he was trying to cross at that location.
