(Washington, DC) – A former DC teacher will serve a five-year prison sentence for his child pornography conviction. John Solano, who was a science instructor at McKinley Technology High School, learned his fate yesterday after admitting in July that he received inappropriate and sexually explicit text messages from a 16-year-old student. The U.S. Attorney’s office in the District says the 30-year-old man had inappropriate sexual communications with other students as well. Solano was arrested at McKinley High in March.
