It’s not a question of whether Trent Williams will be traded from the Washington Washington Football Team, it’s a question of when. According to several reports, the Washington Football Team have spoken to multiple teams about a potential trade involving Williams.

Williams’ trade value is increasing as we get closer to the NFL draft. The Washington Football Team have made it clear that they will only trade the 31-year-old tackle for a significant draft return. Williams’ request for a significant contract extension has also held this process up to this point.

Several major media outlets have had updates on the status of any potential trades this week.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reports “no trade is expected between the Buccaneers and Washington Football Team for disgruntled LT Trent Williams.

It was recently leaked that the two sides were in talks back in February to swap O.J. Howard for Williams, but the teams reportedly aren’t re-entering conversations ahead of the draft. That, of course, could change in the next 24 hours. Washington recently stripped the 31-year-old left tackle and his agent of conducting their own trade around the league, meaning whatever happens (if anything) before the team’s No. 2 overall pick being announced would be finalized entirely by Ron Rivera and the rest of the Skins’ front office. This saga sounds as if it’s close to coming to an end.
