(Tysons Corner, VA) — The Washington Redskins are a step closer to teeing it up for real following Thursday’s annual Welcome Home Luncheon at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner. Some 600 people attended the event which featured awards for players of the year for 2008. Clinton Portis, London Fletcher and James Thrash took those honors. New Redskins like Albert Haynesworth also greeted the fans. Coach Jim Zorn told the crowd to forget about 2008 and focus on the coming season. They take on the New England Patriots on Saturday.
