Child Drowns After Being Swept Into Drainage Pipe During Storm In Maryland
A child tragically drowned Thursday evening after being swept into a drainage pipe during a severe rainstorm in Mt. Airy, Maryland.
Emergency crews recovered the child around 5:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Watersville Road, according to a spokesperson from the Mt. Airy Fire Department.
Officials said the child lived in a nearby apartment complex. The child’s age has not been confirmed.
