61% of Americans think our nation is on the wrong track. Our economy is suffering; our schools don’t work; we don’t have affordable health care; Social Security is about to collapse; our government is broken. People are angry, suspicious, and worried about the decisions our elected leaders are making. So much of the public dialogue regarding these important issues is based on half-truths and sound bites, framed in histrionics, and too far to the left or the right to allow for common sense. To top it off, far too many of us lack the knowledge and insight to understand most of what’s going on.
