(Potomac, MD)  —  Authorities in Montgomery County are investigating after some sort of device exploded at a home in Potomac.  The sound of the explosion around 9:15 p.m. last nightgenerated several calls from around that area, and eventually crews arrived centered in on a home on Inglewood Drive.  Firefighters who arrived smelled an unusual odor and called in a hazardous materials team, which then took a closer look and discovered a blown out window and a detonated device.  The room inside that window also sustained some minor damage.  A bomb squad was brought in but nothing else was found.  It’s unclear what kind of device exploded, and no one was injured.  The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the explosion, as well as who is responsible, continues this morning.
