(Prince William County, VA) — A Woodbridge man will spend 13 days in jail for shooting at a dump truck driver on I-95 in a road rage incident. Twenty-six-year-old Gabriel Poventud must also pay five-thousand dollars in fines for the March 2010 incident. Earlier this year, a jury found Poventud guilty of unlawfully shooting at an occupied vehicle and reckless handling of a firearm. The incident began when a dump truck driver nearly crashed into Poventud’s car and the drivers began to shout and exchange gestures. Witnesses say the truck driver rammed Poventud’s car, pinning it against a guard rail and shots were fired as the truck drove away. Poventud’s two-year-old daughter was in the car at the time.
