(Washington, DC) — DC City Council Chairman Kwame Brown has introduced sweeping ethics reform legislation. It would create an office to investigate and penalize city employees and council members for ethical breaches. The Office of Government Accountability would have the power to investigate any issue involving lobbying, conflict of interest, financial disclosures, and other ethical matters related to DC employees and the council.
