Police Record Ninth Robbery On Metropolitan Branch Trail

(Washington, DC)  —  DC Police say a ninth person has reported a robbery along the Metropolitan Branch Trail.  The latest incident happened yesterday as a bicyclist was stopped at gunpoint by a man who demanded that the victim put his belongings on the ground.  The bicyclist put two cell phones and his wallet on the ground and the suspect took them and told the bicyclist to keep traveling southbound toward Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast.  Police say the suspect description was similar to one given by another robbery victim on Friday.
