An 83-year-old Elgin, Ill. woman was arrested Monday after she scratched and beat on an officers arm until it bled.
The incident occurred when the officer noticed the woman sitting in a parked car in an area notorious for drug and gang activity.
After attempting to flee when she saw the police, she was pulled over and the alleged assault ensued.
