(College Station, TX)  — A new study confirms what you’re probably thinking as you sit in traffic this morning. The DC area is bogged down by the worst traffic in the country.  The average DC driver spends about 74 hours per year simply stuck in traffic, at a cost of 15-hundred dollars in lost gas money and wages.  The national average is 34 hours stuck behind the wheel.  In addition, the report claims all that traffic cost the nation’s economy about 100-billion dollars last year.  Even worse, the Texas Transportation Institute says it expects things on the roads around DC to get worse in the years to come.  Baltimore’s traffic ranked sixth-worst on the list.
