The Baltimore County Board of Education approved to extend Interim Superintendent Verletta White’s contact for the upcoming school year. The extension passed by a nine to two vote during Tuesday night’s school board meeting.
The board voted 9-2 for Dr. Verletta White to be the interim superintendent of schools for the 2018-19 school year. White has been serving as the interim after State Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon rejected the board’s vote to make White the permanent superintendent, citing an ethics violation.
